As consulting electrical engineer, it’s always rewarding to see the final outcome of the homes we design and build. After the economic slump following Covid, I was at 68 busy with a design on one of our engineering projects when I suddenly realised that time based income cannot last forever. Then, investigating our 40⁺ year pension funds, it was shockingly clear that it cannot in any way cope with our current cost of living.
